Wonderview chickens are raised naturally, and free-ranging. Our chickens are raised in a shelter with unlimited access to the outdoors, and fresh nourishment all while replenishing the land. The shelter provides protection against a host of predators and severe weather conditions.
In comparison, conventional mass-produced chickens purchased at your loacl grocery store are raised in confined animal feeding operations or "factory farms". They are crammed into warehouses or small cages, forced to stand in their own unine and feces and subjected to painful mutilations. They're given supplements, antibiotics and exposed to constant light to make them grow faster and larger. They peck at one another in boredom and frustration. This inhumane practice is not only harmful and cruel to the chickens themselves, but also results in stressed growth that produces meat devoid of taste and overall health value.
Poultry raised naturally and allowed to free range produce a higher quality of meat, are jucier and have increased muscle development that complements their enhanced flavour. Studies have proven that this rearing approach produces poultry that is lower in total fat, saturated fat, and are richer in antioxidants (vitamin E, beta-carotene, and vitamin C).
